Photo Tour of Miami's Wynwood Walls

I love good art whether it's in a museum on a street! And Miami's Wynwood Walls has a ton of fantastic street art! So, instead of talking about how awesome it is, I thought I'd show ya!

A bit about the Wynwood Walls....

The Wynwood Walls is the creation of Tony Goldman, who in 2009, was looking to transform the warehouses of the Wynwood district of Miami. He came up with the idea of using the windowless warehouses as canvases for street artists. Originally limited to just six buildings, the idea took on a life of its own. Today, the art has expanded to include the area outside the original location, including a Wynwood Doors project, a Wynwood Gardens project and the Outside the Walls project encompassing the entire neighborhood! Read more about these incredible creations here and check out the photos I took!

For those of you with a green thumb...

No clownin' around....

There was even a Kobra exhibit...

...With a shark made of bits and pieces of metal!

And there were other exhibitions in the park...

Basquiat and Warhol were there.....

I think she was with Jean-Michel and Andy...

Even the sidewalks are arted up!

(Notice - my socks match the art)

There was so much art, we couldn't get to it all, but I hope you've enjoyed what I have been able to share with you from an incredible stroll around the Wynwood Walls! And thanks to one of my dearest friends who lives in Miami for carting me around whenever I'm in town!

Have you been to the Walls? Tell me about it on Facebook or in Traveleidoscope's comment section!
